Kathleen Prendergast, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner


Kathleen Prendergast is a nurse practitioner, board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Association in adult psychiatry/mental health. She graduated cum laude from Jersey City State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Ms. Prendergast then went on to receive a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Rutgers University with the specialty of Adult Psychiatry and Mental Health. She has admitting privileges at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ.

Ms. Prendergast had worked for over 30 years as a Registered Nurse in a variety of areas including psychiatry and substance abuse. As a nurse practitioner, Ms. Prendergast has worked with individuals and their families in outpatient settings dealing with many conditions, including anxiety and depression. Additionally, Ms. Prendergast has served on the graduate faculty of Rutgers University. Ms. Prendergast has been a Clinical Expert on the Scholarly Review Committee for the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. She is also a board member of the New Jersey Society of Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurses and has been published in several journals and magazines.



Christopher Tomkins, LPC, ACS, CCS


Christopher Tomkins is a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience treating a wide range of disorders, including substance abuse and mental health. He is a National Credentialed Counselor with a Master's degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from William Paterson University. In addition to private practice, he is the Deputy Director of Treatment at The Harbor, a treatment center in Newark, NJ. He has prior experience at Talbot Hall, Wayne Counseling and Family Services and Community Service Foundation. He is experienced in providing treatment for issues such as substance abuse, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, grief, trauma, multicultural issues, and traumatic brain injury. He is also an Approved Clinical Supervisor and Certified Clinical Supervisor.

Matthew Navitski, MA


Matthew Navitski is the Intake Counselor for Caldwell Mental Health Center. Mr. Navitski graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Masters degree in Social and Community Psychology. He has had experience in individual and group counseling at multiple settings including Wayne Counseling Center and Addiction Recovery Systems. Additionally, he has been a Recovery Support Specialist at Recovery Centers of America.
